J.B. And Brothers Moving to Bharat Diamond Bourse

(IDEX Online News) – Indian diamond firm J.B. And Brothers will move its operations to the Bharat Diamond Bourse (BDB) in Mumbai’s suburban Bandra Kurla Complex by August 1, the company said in a release.

According to the press note, the new office will enable the firm to increase capacity five-fold. The firm says business will be “more organized” at the BDB because the complex has a “professional business environment, more space, better security, a Customs house, banks and facilities for trading and insurance.”

The Indian diamond industry’s move to the BDB appears to be gaining momentum, with the Mumbai diamond market buzzing with talk of several big firms having reportedly decided to move operations to the BDB by August 15, India’s Independence Day. There has been no official word on this, however.
