Diavik Named One of Canada’s Top 100 Employers

(IDEX Online News) – Diavik Diamond Mines, operator of the Diavik Diamond Mine, has been selected as one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers.

This national external endorsement places Diavik Diamond Mines Inc. among a select group of Canadian businesses providing exceptional workplaces. This is the second time Diavik has been recognized as a Canada’s Top 100 Employer.

Canada’s Top 100 Employers editors described Diavik as “one of the most unique work locations in Canada (and the world)” and a “leading community citizen” citing employee benefits, including pension and share purchase plans, physical workplace, including a fully-equipped fitness facility, and our Aboriginal development and northern resident scholarship programs. As well, our work with local communities was rated “exceptional.”

The Diavik diamond mine is located 300 kilometers northeast of Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. It is an unincorporated joint venture between Diavik Diamond Mines Inc. (60%), a wholly owned subsidiary of Rio Tinto, and Harry Winston Diamond Limited Partnership (40%).
