Platinum and Diamond Jewelry is Top Choice at Primetime Emmy Awards
September 02, 18The red carpet was rolled out once again as the famous, beautiful and the talented headed to Hollywood for the 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards.
For some it was a case of back to black with black diamonds as the gemstone of choice. Others opted for a classic white diamond and platinum combo. Diamond studs and drop earrings paired with big statement diamond rings or bracelets were a go-to combo.

Despite being a mommy a couple of times over, Gwyneth Paltrow opted for a belly-baring beaded Emilio Pucci gown to accept an award for her guest stint on Glee (Outstanding Guest Actress In a Comedy). The talented singer/actress accessorized with 7 carat platinum earrings with black and white diamonds, two platinum and diamond bracelets, totalling 100 carats, and a 5 carat platinum cocktail ring with diamonds and black onyx by Neil Lane.
Emmy nominee Julia Stiles (Best Guest Actress in a Drama Series, "Dexter") radiated in a 55 carat diamond look featuring a Rahaminov Diamond for Forevermark diamond cuff, Forevermark Diamond teardrop earrings and a Forevermark marquise-shaped ring, all set in white gold. Her dress was a pale lavender Georges Hobeika Couture gathered gown.
British beauty Emily Blunt was extremely elegant in her plunging, tulle-embellished Elie Saab gown, Lorraine Schwartz jewels, Kelly Locke clutch and Brian Atwood shoes. She kept her neck jewel-free, and let the plunging neckline do all the talking!
Heidi Klum knows a winner when she sees one. She wore a dress, with an asymmetrical hem, by Project Runway winner Christian Siriano. She paired off the theatrical piece with jewelry by Lorraine Schwartz and Christian Louboutin shoes.
Gretchen Mol wore platinum earrings with jade, onyx and diamonds, multiple vintage platinum bracelets with diamonds, jade and black enamel, and a 12.9 carat platinum and diamond ring by Fred Leighton.
