Three More Companies Certified by RJC
December 08, 11(IDEX Online News) – The Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) has announced that Antwerp-headquartered diamond manufacturer Rosy Blue NV, Paris-based diamond wholesaler Grospiron and British retail chain Beaverbrooks the Jewellers are the latest companies to have met the organization’s certification standards.
Rosy Blue NV is a founding member of the RJC. The verification assessments of the company, along with its affiliates and associates, which reflects 28 legal entities in 13 countries, were conducted by Peter Warbrick and the auditing team from SGS. “We will continue to set ambitious new targets to reconcile economic growth with environmental and social responsibilities,” said Amit Bhansali, managing director of Rosy Blue NV and a member of the Rosy Blue Brand Council.
Grospiron’s verification assessment was conducted by Laurent Lhopitallier from Deloitte France. “Grospiron is very proud to have achieved this important certification as we are constantly trying to improve our customers and suppliers’ confidence through our reputation of integrity and expertise. As well as the customs certification A.E.O. (Authorized Economic Operator), we believe that RJC will reflect our willingness to employ responsible practices,” said managing director Xavier Grospiron.
Lynton Richmond from KPMG LLP (UK) carried out the assessment of Beaverbrooks the Jewellers. “We are extremely proud to become a RJC Certified Member. Our social and ethical principles and responsibilities have always been a cornerstone of our business. These principles were set by our founders over 90 years ago and it is incumbent upon each generation to ensure we hold steadfast to those principles. To have external acknowledgement of “how we do things” in the business is extremely gratifying and gives everyone in the business a huge amount of pride,” said Sharon Thompson, RJC Co-ordinator, Beaverbrooks the Jewellers.
