Erik Jens Appointed CEO of ABN AMRO International Diamond & Jewelry Group

(IDEX Online News) – ABN AMRO has appointed Erik Jens as Chief Executive Officer of ABN AMRO International Diamond & Jewelry Group (ID&JG) as of February 1, 2012. Jens succeeds Victor van der Kwast, the bank announced Monday.

Jens has been with ABN AMRO for more than 20 years and has held various senior executive and leadership positions in a number of international roles.

Victor van der Kwast served as the CEO of ID&JG since 2007 "through a period of change and financial turbulence, securing the leading role of ABN AMRO in the Diamond and Jewelry industry," the bank said.

On September 1, 2011, van der Kwast combined his ID&JG responsibilities with his new assignment as Country Executive ABN AMRO Belgium and CEO ABN AMRO Private Banking International Belgium and Luxemburg.
