“It is important for our entire industry to step up and recognize the cost of making fine jewelry upon the environment and future generations," said the founder and designer of Arizona-based jewelry retailer Krikawa Jewelry Designs, Lisa Krikawa.
"With everyone working together, we can ensure that both the planet and human beings are treated with care in the process of creating beautiful jewelry," she said.
The CFO of Connecticut-based jewelry retailer Lux Bond & Green, David Bonney, said his company’s core values parallel the RJC mission for exceptional business practices and corporate responsibilities
“Our successful RJC certification acknowledges our work to create the best business environment for our staff and customers as well as keeping Lux Bond & Green at the forefront of our industry.”
Michael Rae, RJC’s CEO said he was pleased to see the certification of the family-run
In response, managing director Chiel Getter said, “Since the business was established in 1945, it has been our goal to maintain the highest standards of quality and service, from source to supply, whilst ensuring that social, ethical and environmental values are not compromised. With the attainment of RJC certification, we know that we have managed to achieve official recognition of this and all that is encapsulated within it."
“As a leader in the jewelry industry, I hope my example will encourage many other Australian businesses, large and small, to undertake the RJC self-assessment and audit. I believe the process has led to a better, more trust based relationship between me, my senior management and all staff,” said Garry Holloway, CEO of the Australian-based jewelry retailer Holloway Diamonds.
