The expansion was made possible by a grant from the JCK Industry Fund. The grant also allows JA to continue providing state-level alerts through its Legislative Action Center.
Through the program, JA and the six state and regional partner associations can share alerts on the state and federal levels.
The partner associations are Intermountain Jewelers Association (Idaho, Nevada and Utah), Missouri Jewelers Association, Nebraska/South Dakota Jewelers Association, New York State Jewelers Association, North Carolina Jewelers Association and Oklahoma Jewelers Association.
"As an industry, we need to mobilize our efforts, since policy decisions can impact jewelers at all levels of government," said Matthew A. Runci, JA president & CEO. "Jewelers in these states now have better access to a powerful grassroots advocacy tool that lets them to reach out directly to their officials."
