Time To Learn: Training And Education For The Jewelry Industry
September 29, 12 Three years ago, we took a look at the subject of education. As the global economic downturn was becoming more and more entrenched, it seemed like a good time to head back to school. With slower sales and more time on their hands, business owners and employees had the opportunity to up the education ante.
For some, the downturn proved the perfect occasion to revisit what they had once learnt, to improve their skill set and to boost their education. Others, however, saw the slower economy as a time to dig in, cut back and preserve cash at all costs – with education barely featuring on their schedule at all.
Three years later, the economy is doing better – for the meantime – and people are back buying jewelry.
Those who took the opportunity to learn and to increase their training are no doubt benefiting from their decision. For those who didn’t, however, it’s not too late.
This month, we revisit the subject of education and find out about the latest developments of the past three years.
So, pencils (and iPads) at the ready – it’s time to start learning again…
