U.S. Online Sales Keep Breaking Records

(IDEX Online News) – With eight days each totaling more than $1 billion of revenues, online purchases by U.S. consumers totaled $33.8 billion this holiday season, an increase of 13 percent from last year.

The figure reflects business in the first 44 days of the November–December 2012 holiday season, according to comScore, and is the highest level of online sales ever.

The most recent workweek saw four individual days eclipse $1 billion in spending, led by Green Monday (December 10) with $1.275 billion.
