100-Carat Flawless Diamond to Star at Christie’s Auction
April 22, 13The sale will feature more than 300 lots which are estimated to sell for a total of around $65 million.
Among the other exceptional diamonds on offer will be a cushion-shaped stone weighing 76.91 carats with a pre-sale estimate of $6.5 million-$8.5 million, and an extremely rare fancy red diamond ring estimated to sell for $2 million-$3 million.
Among the colored gemstones to be sold is the Star of Kashmir sapphire, and a 23-carat fine Colombian emerald ring.
There will also be a necklace set with 23 natural pearls with a pre-sale estimate of $2 million-$3 million, and what the auctioneer described as the largest pair of natural drop-shaped pearls ever recorded with a pre-sale estimate of $1.3 million-$2.5 million.
The auction will also feature many jewels from major private collections, including a diamond ring by British jeweler Laurence Graff with a pre-sale estimate of $2.4 million-$3.4 million.
Meanwhile, there is also a selection of important period and signed jewelry, including iconic creations from the 20th century and jewelry with aristocratic provenance.
