(IDEX Online News) – Jewelry from the 1920s and 1930s will be the highlights of Christie’s Important Jewels sale in London on June 5.
Christie’s said the sale includes an “extraordinary array” of Art Deco earrings, pendants, diamonds and pearls. The items feature the use of a range of shapes including circles, rectangles, triangles and trapeze, that was typical of designs of the period.
Christie’s said the sale includes a mix of antique and modern jewelry.
Among the leading items are natural pearl and diamond ear clips, a gem and diamond brooch from French jeweler Mauboussin, and several pieces from Cartier, including two gem-set enamel vanity cases, a rare “Duoplan” diamond dress watch and pearl necklaces.
There is also an antique enamel and diamond flower brooch, a rare diamond-set Bulgari snake watch from the 1960s, and a snake watch.
