Birks Introducing New Retail Concept in Canada
June 13, 13 (IDEX Online News) –Canadian jeweler Birks is introducing a new retail concept this summer with the opening of two new stores. The new stores will have around 500 square feet of retail space dedicated to jewelry from the Birks Collections.
The new stores, developed in collaboration with Sid Lee Architecture, will be located at the DIX30 Complex in Brossard Quebec and the Mapleview Mall in Burlington, Ontario.
"Our team worked on an exciting design that is sure to impress and surprise consumers – we were given the challenge to reinvent and refresh the value proposition of the traditional jewelry store, and we believe the finished product offers exactly that," said Martin Leblanc, senior partner and head of Retail at Sid Lee Architecture.
The two new stores will carry the Birks Collections of jewelry, offering fashion jewelry as well as designs from the diamond and bridal collections featuring Canadian diamonds as center stones.
The company introduced four new Birks collections across Canada last fall. A further 16 collections, inspired by Birks' design heritage and Canadian roots, will be introduced this year.
Birks & Mayors operates 56 luxury jewelry stores in Canada and the United States.
