Renard Mine Road Strike Ends, Says Stornoway
June 26, 13
(IDEX Online News) – Stornoway Diamond Corp, which is developing the Renard mine in Quebec, says strike action by workers building the Renard mine road has ended.
The industrial action taken by the Alliance of Unionized Construction Workers of Québec has been settled with respect to construction activities related to civil and earth works in the province.
“The limited interruption that this strike action caused to construction activities on the Renard mine road is now over, and its impact on Stornoway’s overall development schedule is expected to be negligible,” the firm said in a statement.
“The Renard mine road continues to progress on schedule and within budget.”
