The IDEX Online Polished Price Report for August 8, 2013

(IDEX Online News) – Prices of round goods again remain in the doldrums, continuing the trend of recent weeks, with almost all changes being declines, according to this week's IDEX Online Price Report.

Meanwhile, fancy-shape diamonds, as opposed to mainly gains seen in recent weeks, saw a more balanced performance albeit with a tendency towards declines.

• 0.18-0.22 cts E / SI +5.3% to $1,000 p/c
• 0.23-0.29 cts few changes
• 0.30-0.39 cts D / IF -2.6% to $3,750 p/c
• 0.40-0.44 cts E / VVS2 -3.3% to $2,950 p/c
• 0.45-0.49 cts declines in better colors and clarity grades
• 0.50-0.69 cts almost unchanged
• 0.70-0.79 cts L / IF-VVS1 decreases
• 0.80-0.89 cts widespread declines
• 0.90-0.99 cts decreases in medium colors and better grades
• 1.00-1.24 cts few changes
• 1.25-1.49 cts M / I1 -4.4% to $220 p/c
• 2 cts declining
• 3 cts I-K / SI3 decreasing
• 4 cts I-M / SI3 declining
• 5 cts man decreases in mid-to-lower colors, poorer clarities

• 0.18-0.22 cts D / VVS2 -3.2% to $1,500
• 0.23-0.29 cts unchanged
• 0.30-00.39 cts F / IF-VVS1 – declines of more than 2%
• 0.40-0.44 cts G / IF +2.1% to $2,450
• 0.45-0.49 cts  H-K / VS2 increases
• 0.50-0.69 cts almost unchanged
• 0.70-0.79 cts I / SI2 +2.0% to $2,500
• 0.80-0.89 cts widespread changes
• 0.90-0.99 cts mostly declining
• 1.00-1.24 cts D-I / IF declining
• 1.50-1.99 cts mostly decreasing
• 2 cts D-F / IF declining
• 3 cts declines in most colors in better clarities
