IGI Innovates with Spanish and Portuguese Grading Reports
August 22, 13(IDEX Online News) – The International Gemological Institute (IGI) has expanded its diamond report series to include Spanish and Portuguese language options.
The grading lab said the move was made as the Hispanic and Latino markets for jewelry continue to grow. IGI says it is the only major worldwide gemological lab to offer this service.
“Taking into account the current and impending jewelry market growth among Hispanics and Latinos, we saw an opportunity to provide an essential service,” said IGI president and CEO Jerry Ehrenwald. “We are thrilled to equip retailers and consumers alike with the necessary tools to understand their reports and the respective diamond quality.”
The bilingual options will include a full-page report, diamond diagram and details on the stone’s characteristics.
