Rosy Blue Takes Part in UN Global Compact Leaders’ Summit

(IDEX Online News) – Diamond and jewelry manufacturer Rosy Blue took part in the United Nations Global Compact Leaders’ Summit in New York on September 19 and 20.

The theme of the meeting was “Architects of a Better World”, and was chaired by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.

It brought together leaders from the business world, civil society, the United Nations and governments, as well as from 100 Global Compact networks, including the Belgian network where Rosy Blue NV has taken a leadership role.

The meeting aimed to offer a new global concept for corporate sustainability as well as a framework for the contribution of the business world to the implementation of the Millenium Development Goals relating to children’s rights, women’s empowerment, food security, education, water and climate change, as well as of the post-2015 agenda.
