Forevermark Ultimate Experience Offered at Neiman Marcus
October 10, 13 (IDEX Online News) – Forget buying a diamond for the holidays, if you have the big bucks; why not opt for the “Forevermark Ultimate Diamond Experience” from the iconic 2013 Neiman Marcus Christmas Book?
At a price of $1,850,000, the 25-carat diamond available on page 43 of the iconic holiday season catalog comes with a trip around the world to follow the diamond’s journey.
The trip starts with a visit to De Beers' headquarters in London, where the lucky buyer gets to meet their stone in its rough uncut format, which they will get to name, along with the craftspeople who will hand-cut and polish it.
This will be followed by a private tour of the Crown Jewels and dinner with De Beers CEO Philippe Mellier and Forevermark CEO Stephen Lussier in the Tower of London.
Then it’s off to the coast of Namibia where the stone was discovered. This part of the journey includes a visit to see rough-diamond sorting houses and a children’s community project.
After returning to the US, the buyer will meet New York jewelry designer Maria Canale to design the ring in which the diamond will be set.
As part of the purchase price, Neiman Marcus will donate $10,000 to The Heart of Neiman Marcus Foundation.
Other gifts on offer include a bespoke global falconry companion, a Ciclotte exercise bicycle and a glass house experience.
