Malca-Amit Opens Secured Storage Facilities at Shanghai FTZ

The facilities include five vaults designed to the highest international standards capable of storing up to 2,000 metric tons of precious metals, diamonds, jewelry, fine arts and rare items.
The new facilities enable companies, financial institutions and private individuals to import precious assets into China, and store them securely and efficiently while enjoying a 100-percent duty-free exemption. The vaults feature the latest technology, and a team of controllers ensure optimal security and efficiency on a continuous basis, Malca-Amit said in a statement.
Commodities can be imported and exported into the facility tax-free enabling international and local organizations to trade cost-effectively. The operation provides flexible and full-service logistical support service for the import process of any sold items, the return abroad of un-sold items, and secure storage of precious assets without a time-limit.
The facilities also provide a secure display hall for private events and displays, along with meeting rooms and inspection lounges enabling clients to use the Malca-Amit facilities as their trading hub into China.
