First Tender of Zimbabwe Diamonds to be Held in Antwerp

(IDEX Online News) – First Element Bvba is holding the first tender of diamonds from Zimbabwe in Antwerp later this week.
The tender includes goods from Marange Resources, Zimbabwe Diamond Mining Company (ZDMC), Anjin Investments, Jinan and Kusena Diamonds totalling about 300,000 carats.
The tender will be held in the Antwerp Diamond Tender Facility located in the Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC). Viewings will take place from December 11 to 16.
The diamond tender, the first one held in Antwerp since the European Union lifted the sanctions against the Zimbabwe Mining Development Corporation (ZMDC), is the result of high level meetings of Zimbabwean officials and the AWDC in Zimbabwe and Antwerp in the past month, the AWDC said.
