Golden Globes 2014: Jewelry Round-Up
January 14, 14 (IDEX Online News) – Best supporting actress winner Jennifer Lawrence accessorized her strapless Dior Haute Couture gown with platinum jewelry by Neil Lane. She wore Art Deco platinum chandelier earrings with black spinel, onyx, black diamonds, jade and coral, four platinum bracelets with white and black diamonds and two platinum and diamond rings. All told, Lawrence’s jewelry wardrobe totaled a Hollywood-worthy $2.5 million.

Although she didn’t win an award for her breathtaking performance in 12 Years a Slave, Lupita Nyong'o proved her Hollywood credentials in a Ralph Lauren Collection red caped column dress, gold set diamond studs, two yellow gold and diamond rings from Fred Leighton and in the gold statement of the night – a solid rose gold clutch from Monica Rich Kosann.
Zooey Deschanel also opted for jewelry by Neil Lane. She matched her Oscar de la Renta number with platinum flower earrings with diamonds, pearl, and citrine, a platinum bracelet with diamonds and pearls and a platinum ring with diamonds and pearls.
The jury may be out on Julia Roberts’ outfit – a black strapless Dolce & Gabbana dress paired with a white blouse with half-length sleeves and a sequined belt – but there are no such complaints for the August: Osage County actress’ jewelry. She wore Harry Winston platinum and emerald cut diamond ear studs with micro pavé and a -platinum and diamond cocktail ring.
Reese Witherspoon certainly turned up the heat on the red carpet this year in a slinky Calvin Klein dress. While her sharp bobbed hair was perhaps the best accessory of all, she also upped her game with 4-carat platinum and round diamond ear studs, a 10-carat emerald-cut diamond ring and three stacked platinum and diamond line bracelets, all by Harry Winston.
A pregnant and glowing Kerry Washington showed off her burgeoning baby bump in a white Balenciaga gown. She opted for vintage jewelry from Fred Leighton including 1920’s platinum and diamond earrings, an Art Deco platinum brooch with rock crystal and diamonds and a 1920’s diamond and onyx platinum ring.

Amy Adams, the best actress winner for American Hustle wore a two-tone red Valentino halter gown with a dramatic train and a plunging neckline, which she drew even more attention to with a Lorraine Schwartz diamond pendant hung on a long gold chain. She paired the eye-catching pendant with gold rings and earrings, also by Lorraine Schwartz.
Downton Abbey actress Michelle Dockery wore a strapless silver beaded Oscar de la Renta gown with a high-low hemline that showed off her coordinating Christian Louboutin heels. Jewelry-wise she wore Bulgari rose gold and diamond flower earrings and a Bulgari rose gold and diamond cocktail ring.
Presenter Olivia Wilde (and baby bump_ slinked in an emerald green Gucci gown. She accessorized with an18-karat white gold ring set with 3.9-carats of diamonds, 4.9-carat cushion-shaped double drop earrings set in white gold, both by Forevermark, and a Maria Canale for Forevermark 8 carat diamond line bracelet.
Elisabeth Moss, who took home an award for Top of the Lake, chose geometric Jennifer Meyer yellow gold and diamond triple-drop triangle earrings along with a gold ring and bracelet to accessorize her black and oxblood sequined J. Mendel dress.
Presenter Naomi Watts donned a shimmery allover-beaded Tom Ford halter with sheer cutouts on the bodice. She kept the sparkly theme going with a gold and diamond collar necklace along with a classic gold Serpenti bracelet from Bulgari.
