Israeli Bourse Urges Visitors to Register Early For Diamond Week
February 13, 14Buyers who are interested in joining hundreds of their colleagues on the trading floor of the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) to meet and trade with around 400 Israeli diamond firms are being encouraged not to postpone their registration.
The April 6-10 event follows the International Jewellery Sourcing Fair in Freiburg, Germany, and the BaselWorld fair in Basel, Switzerland. "We encourage interested buyers to register as soon as possible since many visitors to Basel and Freiburg will choose to continue to Israel for their diamond sourcing," said IDE CEO Moti Besser.
"We therefore expect an unusually large number of early registrations, and we will handle them on a first-come-first-served basis. Our partner bourse in this project, the Diamond Dealers Club of New York, is also expected to bring a large delegation of members," he added.
Registered foreign buyers will again be offered heavily discounted room rates at the event's designated venue hotels within walking distance from the Ramat Gan diamond exchange complex.
"The hotel accommodation near the bourse is of a high level, but limited, and this is another reason for buyers not to postpone their registration," Besser said.
