The IDEX Online Polished Price Report for May 1, 2014

(IDEX Online News) – Small round diamonds posted many rises again this week, with mid-size and larger stones seeing relatively thin activity, according to the weekly IDEX Online Price Report.

Fancy shape diamonds this week saw a wide range of changes which were overwhelmingly positive.

• 0.18-0.22 cts I / VS2-SI2 rises of 4-6%
• 0.23-0.29 cts J / VS2-SI2 increases of 4-6%
• 0.30-0.39 cts many increases
• 0.40-0.44 cts a wide range of rises
• 0.45-0.49 cts J / VVS2-SI2 rises of 2-3%
• 0.50-0.69 cts several decliners
• 0.70-0.79 cts N / VS1-SI1 declines of around 3%
• 0.80-0.89 cts N / VVS1-VS1 decreases of more than 2%
• 0.90-0.99 cts range of declines in lower colors, better clarities
• 1.00-1.24 cts just one change, upwards
• 1.25-1.49 cts just two changes, both rising
• 2 cts M / VVS1 +3.3% to $6,200 p/c
• 3 cts D-E / SI1 rises of more than 2%
• 4 cts J / SI1 +3.0% to $13,700 p/c
• 5 cts unchanged

• 0.23-0.29 cts no changes
• 0.30-0.39 cts many changes in top colors across all clarities
• 0.40-0.44 cts D / SI2-I2 increases of 3-5%
• 0.45-0.49 cts D / VS1-SI1 rises of 2-4%
• 0.50-0.69 cts D-G / VVS1-SI1 rises of 2-4%
• 0.70-0.79 cts F / VVS2-SI2 rising by 1-3%
• 0.80-0.89 cts just two changes, both rising
• 0.90-0.99 cts two increases
• 1.00-1.24 cts three risers
• 1.50-1.99 cts H / IF -3.1% to $9,300 p/c
• 2 cts L / IF -3.6% to $5,400 p/c
• 3 cts several risers in mid-colors and clarities
• 4 cts many increases in top colors, lower clarities
• 5 cts unchanged
