India's Polished Diamond Exports Up 8% On Year in April
June 10, 14(IDEX Online News) – India's polished diamond exports in April rose 8.0 percent on the year to $1.63 billion, the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) reported.
In imports of polished goods, there was a 4.0-percent rise to $417.1 million in April, the start of India's fiscal year.
As for rough diamond imports, they increased by 2.7 percent on the year to $1.96 billion in April.
Exports of rough diamonds dropped by 35.4 percent to $106.3 million in April.
Exports of synthetic stones in April were $6.9 million.
Imports of synthetic stones in April came to $5.33 million.
