Lucapa Preparing Update On Diamond Recoveries At Lulo
July 08, 14(IDEX Online) – The Lucapa Diamond Company is preparing to provide an update on kimberlite diamond recoveries at the Lulo diamond concession in Angola.
The concession covers 3,000 square kilometres in the country's diamond-rich Lunda Norte region.
The Australian Securities Exchange Limited has granted Lucapa a trading halt, with its shares placed in pre-open, Proactive Investors Australia reported.
The trading halt will remain in place until the opening of trade on July 19, or earlier if an announcement is made to the market.
A report last week said that Lucapa plans to start operations at the Angolan mine in about two years and that it may surpass the country’s biggest diamond producer, Catoca, in price per carat.
