Senior De Beers Execs Hold Talks With Dubai Diamond Exchange

(IDEX Online) – A delegation of senior executives from De Beers visited the Dubai Diamond Exchange (DDE) on September 14, with the sides discussing future collaboration, the increasing role that the producing nations play along the New Silk Route and the opportunities this shift is bringing.

DDE Chairman Peter Meeus hosted the delegation along DMCC Chief Executive Officer Gautam Sashittal.

The De Beers representatives were Paul Rowley, Executive Vice President, Global Sightholders Sales; Nigel Simson, Senior Vice President, Global Sightholder Sales; Brent Eiseb, Vice President, Eastern Hemisphere, Global Sightholder Sales; Chris Donegan, Vice President, Western Hemisphere, Global Sightholder Sales; and Vijay Chetty, Key Account Manager, Global Sightholder Sales.

The DMCC Free Zone and Almas Tower is home to more than 600 diamond businesses, the DDE said in a statement.
