GJEPC and SDA to Hold 2nd India Gem & Jewellery Machinery Expo in Surat

(IDEX Online News) – Following the success of last year’s show, the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion (GJEPC) and the Surat Diamond Association (SDA) have announced the second edition of the India Gem & Jewellery Machinery Expo (IGJME).

The show will see the participation of some 85 exhibitors and will feature 135 stalls showcasing machinery, tools and equipment and new technologies for manufacturing diamonds, jewelry, gemstones. Allied products, services such as packaging, IT and software and various publications will also be on display.  

The fair will include a Turkish pavilion, as well as the participation of companies from Israel and the US.

Organizers said they expect to see about 5,000 visitors over the course of the show.

“Technology always plays a significant role in the growth and development of any industry and helps to prepare for the future,” said GJEPC chair Vipul Shah. “Surat is the hub of India’s massive gems & jewellery manufacturing activity and through IGJME we hope to attract decision makers not only from surrounding regions but all over India.”

The expo will be held at the International Exhibition & Convention Centre in Surat from November 28-30.
