Blue Nile International Sales Surge 26% In Q3
October 31, 14The Internet seller posted a 6.9 percent rise on the year in net sales to $105.8 million, but net income fell to $1.7 million for the three-month period from $2.9 million for the same quarter last year.
Blue Nile expects fourth quarter revenue to be $159 million to $174 million. The quarter will includes the important Christmas sales period.
The firm reported a 5-percent increase in sales of engagement rings in the United States in the June-September period, making up almost $61 million of its sales – or more than half of Blue Nile’s overall business for the quarter.
“Last quarter, we took steps to ensure that, no matter what, Blue Nile’s superior value is absolutely clear,” said Blue Nile CEO Harvey Kanter in a media statement.
