IDEX Online Polished Price Changes – January 22, 2015

(IDEX Online News) – The price of round diamonds saw a large number of changes this week, many of them negative. There were some positive changes in rounds of 1/5-1/3 carats, with prices increasing as much as 6 percent, although more common changes were around the 2 percent-3 percent mark.   

There were fewer changes in fancy goods, with almost all of the changes heading downwards.

Following are some of the main changes in this week's IDEX Online Diamond Price Report.

• 0.18-0.22 cts I+ / SI1+ up 2%-3.5%
• 0.23-0.29 cts F / SI2 down 3.5% I-N / SI1+ up 3%-6%
• 0.30-0.39 cts E / SI2 down 2%
• 0.40-0.44 cts K / IF down 2.5%
• 0.45-0.49 cts D / VVS1, H / VS2, K / VS1 down 2%-4%
• 0.50-0.69 cts unchanged
• 0.70-0.79 cts H / VVS2 down 3% I-J / SI1-SI2 down 2%-3%
• 0.80-0.89 cts F-H / VVS2-SI1 down 2%-3%
• 0.90-0.99 cts H / SI1 down 4%
• 1.00-1.24 cts numerous changes including J-K and D-E / VS2-SI1 down 2%-3%
• 1.25-1.49 cts D-H / VS1-SI1 down around 3%
• 1.50-1.99 G+ / SI1+ down 1%-3% E-G / I1-2 up 2%-3% 
• 2 cts E / VVS2+ down 3% H-I / VVS2-SI2 down 3%
• 3 cts D-E / VVS2-SI1 down 3%
• 4 cts I-L / VVS2+ down 1%-3%
• 5 cts H / SI2 down 3% I / VVS2 up 3%

• 0.18-0.22 cts E / VS2 down 4%
• 0.23-0.29 cts D / VS1 down 3% G / VS1 up 4%
• 0.30-0.39 cts no change
