Savelli Partners with Gemfields to Produce Ruby-Set Smartphones

(IDEX Online News) – Savelli, a Swiss brand that merges technology and jewelry, has partnered with gemstone company Gemfields to produce a limited edition ruby-set smartphone.
The 20 piece limited edition Ruby Mystery features 395 brilliant-cut rubies (approximately 4.72 carats) hand-set on an 18-karat white gold heart on a black phone.
The Ruby Passion, which is limited to just eight pieces, features 395 brilliant-cut rubies (approximately 4.72 carats) on an 18-karat yellow gold that is enhanced by 144 brilliant-cut diamonds (approximately 1.62 carats).
The rubies originate from the Montepuez ruby deposit in northeastern Mozambique.
This is the second collaboration between the two companies. Savelli and Gemfields previous created an emerald-set phone.
