Large Contingent of Israeli Companies to Exhibit at March Hong Kong Show
February 19, 15(IDEX Online News) – Some 145 Israeli companies are taking part in the upcoming Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show. One hundred and fifteen companies will exhibit under the auspices of the Israeli Diamond Pavilion, organized by the Israel Diamond Institute Group of Companies (IDI). A further 30 companies will exhibit in other locations throughout the show.
In addition, the IDI is the sole sponsor of the event’s Gala Dinner, which will feature a fashion show of models wearing Israeli diamond jewelry including creations by Sorum, Shlomo Bichachi, Aharonoff Creations, Leibish & Co., Yakubov Group and Moti Kashi.
“The Hong Kong March show is very important as it is the “opening show” for 2015 and attracts buyers from the entire region, as far off as Australia,” said IDI managing director Eli Avidar. “This is a very good venue for Israeli diamantaires to meet existing clients and to establish new business contacts.”
Hong Kong is Israel’s second largest market for polished diamonds, representing close to 30 percent of total polished diamond exports and is a gateway for the Asian markets.
