AWDC Says Rough Diamond Days ‘Restores Buzz of Bygone Days

(IDEX Online News) – The Antwerp World Diamond Center, the umbrella organization of the Antwerp diamond industry, said that the Rough Diamond Days event that took place this week in the Antwerpsche Diamantkring has “restored the buzz of bygone days” to the center.
“A wide range of rough diamonds were on offer during this two-day trading event, so everyone could find what he was looking for,” said Freddy Inzlicht, organizer and chairman of the Antwerpsche Diamantkring. “But above all, the personal contacts boosted the confidence level, which is something that many dealers can use in these difficult times.”
More than 2,500 potential buyers visited the fair, which was timed to coincide with Sight week. In addition to the many Belgian diamond traders, a large number of foreign delegations from India, the United States and Israel also attended.
