(IDEX Online News) – Trade in rounds continued to be sluggish this week with relatively few changes, although there was a little more postive movement than in previous weeks. Most of the moment was in the lower colors and clarities.

 

Once again, there was more upward movement in the fancy cut diamonds with most of the changes taking place in sizes above 0.5 carats.

 

Following are some of the main changes in this week's IDEX Online Diamond Price Report.

·         0.18-0.22 cts D / SI2-I2 up 4-5.5%

 

·         0.23-0.29 cts D / SI2 up 3% and J / VS2 down 3.5%

 

·         0.30-0.39 cts E-F / VVS1 down 3-4% and L / VS1+ up 3-4%

 

·         0.40-0.44 cts I / VVS2 up 2% and J / I1 down 4%

 

·         0.45-0.49 cts D and J / SI3 down 2-3%

 

·         0.50-0.69 cts no change

 

·         0.70-0.79 cts K / VVS2-SI1 up 2%

 

·         0.80-0.89 cts some positive changes including K / VS1-2 up 2%

 

·         0.90-0.99 cts D / IF up 3% and I / I1 up 4%

 

·         1.00-1.24 cts no change

 

·         1.25-1.49 cts a few changes including E / IF up 3%

 

·         1.50-1.99 cts D, G, K and N / SI2 up 2-3%

 

·         2 cts H and J / I1 up 2%

 

·         3 cts M / SI3 up 2%

 

·         4 cts K-N / IF up 3% and E-F and M / SI1 down 3%

 

·         5 cts H / VVS2 and I / VS1 up 3%
