WFDB President to Meet with New Diamond Producers Association Members

(IDEX Online News) – World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB) president Ernie Blom says the upcoming Presidents Meeting of the WFDB and International Diamond Manufacturers Association (IDMA) in Tel Aviv will be an opportunity to discuss the Diamond Producers Association (DPA) with some of the world’s leading mining companies.
"I am looking forward to meeting some of the representatives of the mining firms," said Blom. "It is critical that the diamond firms are involved in the development of the diamond sector and address the important issues that face the industry."
"In today’s world, no sector can thrive without the united effort of all stakeholders,” he added.
Blom also said that since the beginning of 2014 when the World Diamond Mark Foundation (WDMF), which is strongly backed by the WFDB, began its attempts to revive generic diamond promotion to enhance consumer desire and trust in diamonds, the WFDB has been in constant touch with all the leading diamond mining firms.
