Sarine Technologies Galaxy System Scans 10 Millionth Stone
July 02, 15(IDEX Online News) – Diamond technology toolmaker Sarine Technologies has announced that its Galaxy family of scanning and inclusion mapping systems recently scanned its 10 millionth stone worldwide.
The Galaxy system has been in use since 2009 and is used to maximize polished diamond yield and optimize planning and production processes, by quickly and accurately mapping data for rough diamonds based on clarity, cut and carat weight.
"…the Galaxy solution has uniquely propelled the industry to a higher level of efficiency and productivity,” said Sarine CEO Uzi Levami.
“By scanning 10 million rough stones, our customers have clearly expressed their confidence and trust in our cutting edge technology. We will continue our commitment to developing and delivering the highest quality solutions, including the new Meteor system…”
Sarine’s new Meteor system will provide for the inclusion mapping for the 0.25-0.85-carat segment of rough diamonds, which Sarine expects will accelerate the scanned throughput to up to 250 stones a day.
The system is currently on trial in India and is anticipated to be released later this year.
