(IDEX Online News) – There was relatively little price movement this week in rounds. The most movement was in goods sized between 5-5.99 carats. Prices dropped 1-3 percent for goods in the better colors and clarities, while items in the lower colors but better clarities saw prices increase by the same amount.

 

Smaller and larger fancy-cut diamonds experienced very little price movement, with most increases taking place in stones from 0.5-2.99 carats.

·         0.40-0.44 cts M / SI2 down 4%.

 

·         0.45-0.49 cts E-G / VS1 up 3-3.5%

·         0.70-0.79 cts changes including D / VVS1-2 up 2-3%

 

·         0.80-0.89 cts changes including K / IF up 3% and M / VS1 up 2%

 

·         0.90-0.99 cts changes including J / VS2+ up 2-4%

 

·         1.00-1.24 cts some changes including D-G / VS1 up 1-3%

 

·         1.25-1.49 cts N / I1 down 5.5%

 

·         1.50-1.99 cts I / VS1 up 2%

 

·         2 cts changes including F, I and K / VVS1 up 3-3.5% H / VS2-SI1 up 3%

 

·         3 cts no change

·         5 cts negative changes down 1-3% in the better colors and clarities; price rises up 1-3% in the lower colors and better clarities
