August 20, 15Press Release – Tzoffey’s 1818, the Israeli-French auction house is expanding its rough diamond tender and auction business, as it is adding more rough diamond miners and producers to its business portfolio.
To facilitate more frequent tenders and auctions and meet demand from Israeli diamond community, the company opened new and ultra-modern rough diamond trading offices in the lobby of the Diamond Tower, the tallest of the four buildings in the Israel Diamond Exchange complex in Ramat Gan.
The grand opening was attended by more than 300 diamond industry members, among them captains of industry such as Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) president Shmuel Schnitzer and Kobi Korn, president of the Israel Diamond Manufacturers Association (IsDMA).
"This is the result of long months of work and I delighted with our company's new premises," Tzoffey's 1818 CEO Avner Sofiov said. "As we are expanding our activities and services, and are increasing the number sources we market rough for, we needed more space and better facilities. We invested a lot of thought and effort on the layout and design, and we now have beautiful new offices with no fewer than nine well-equipped viewing rooms for the participants in our tenders and auctions."
Congratulating Sofiov and his team, Schnitzer said: "I take my hat off to the beauty, aesthetics and vision of this new rough trading facility. The rough that will be sold here will definitely bring added value to the bourse. I don't know any exchange around the world operating such a fine rough trading operation. I wish you much success."
Korn concurred: "These offices are beautiful. Congratulations on the idea, your daring and innovation. I believe that exactly at this challenging period in the industry we need to initiate such things. This center adds much beauty and charm, and it is moving to see how it enhances the lobby [of the Diamond Tower]," Korn stated.
"Tzoffey's specializes in making its infrastructure and marketing solutions available to small producers that do not have a sales and distribution system of their own. We provide them with a turnkey solution and provide them a ready target audience of buyers," Sofiov explained. "Judging by the enthusiastic reception of our new facilities, I think we are off at a good start."
