DDC’s India Diamond Week Has Busiest Opening Day

(IDEX Online News) – The Diamond Dealers Club (DDC) of New York said it had its busiest opening day at its third India Diamond Week, which is taking place on the DDC’s trading floor in Manhattan. The event, which is being held in conjunction with the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), saw almost 100 exhibitors and several hundred buyers on opening day.

The event is designed to increase communication and networking between diamantaires in the US and India and to promote business globally. 

“This has been the busiest and most successful opening day we’ve had so far for India Diamond Week,” said DDC president Reuven Kaufman. “We see the DDC trade show as a tremendous opportunity for dealers, wholesalers and manufacturers around the world to connect and forge significant business relationships.”

The event runs until August 27.
