Rio Tinto to Hold First Direct Rough Tender in India

(IDEX Online News) – Rio Tinto Diamonds has announced that for the first time it intends to bring rough goods from its Argyle and Diavik mines directly into India for auction at the Bharat Diamond Bourses new Special Notified Zone (SNZ).

The sale, which will be available to fully registered and “Know Your Customer” compliant companies, will take place at the end of November.

The company said that after viewing and inspection of the diamonds takes place, it will organize a live electronic auction.
