True North Begins Aappaluttoq Ruby Project Processing Plant Pour
October 01, 15(IDEX Online News) – True North Gems Inc. has begun the concrete pour at its Aappaluttoq Ruby Project processing plant in Greenland. The company said the work is expected to conclude by the end of the month and will be followed by the erection of the building's structural steel.
The plant building envelope and insulation is due to be completed by November enabling the installation of the temperature sensitive crushing and recovery circuits.
In addition, True North's joint venture partners, LNS Greenland, has continued to make significant progress on infrastructure development, including the lowering of the northern lake allowing construction of a work trail from the process plant building to the secured main pit area.
Geological teams are currently on-site to assess the second drainage channel near the pit. Once completed, this will initiate the lowering of the southern lake and allow further access to the extraction area.
