Stornoway Updates Mineral Resource Estimate for Renard Diamond Project
October 18, 15(IDEX Online News) – Canadian diamond exploration and development company Stornoway has announced updated technical data on its 100-percent owned Renard kimberlites.
The Renard Mineral Resource Estimate, effective September 2015, stands at 30.2 million carats of Indicated Mineral Resources representing 42.6 million tons at an average 71 carats per hundred tons and 13.3 million of Inferred Mineral Resources (representing 24.5 million tons at an average 54 carats per hundred tons – cpht). These resources are contained within the Renard 2,3,4,65 and 9 kimberlite pipes and the Lynx and Hibou kimberlite dykes.
The report also highlights the potential for future mineral resource finds at kimberlites 1, 7 and 10. They are located 2-4 kilometers north of the Renard site, and sufficient diamond drilling, macrodiamond assessment and geological modelling has been completed to allow their potential to be assessed.
