US Jewelers Create World’s Largest Engagement Ring

(IDEX Online News) – Smyth Jewelers, the largest jewelry retailer on the East Coast and Uneek Fine Jewelry, have together created the world’s largest engagement ring.
The ring, which stands 17 feet tall and 14 feet wide will have a permanent home outside Smyth's Timonium, Maryland showroom. The ring is modelled on a Uneek ring design, and took more than a year to fabricate and install.
"Smyth is known for being 'where Maryland gets engaged," said Smyth CEO Mark Motes. "This ring is a symbol and a testament to all the couples we've helped with their engagements, weddings and milestones, and all those future couples we hope to serve."
Smyth and Uneek invited people to visit the ring, take pictures next to it – and maybe even pop the question.
