(IDEX Online News) – Round diamond prices continued to drop this week, with an increase in the number of categories seeing declines. Goods from size 1-3.99 carats, especially, saw a substantial negative shift with items dropping between 2-4 percent.

 

As usual, there was less movement in the prices of fancy goods, with most changes tending towards the positive – especially for items sized between 0.45-0.49 carats. Goods sized 1 carat and above experienced some price declines, although they were limited in number.

·         0.23-0.29 a few changes including D / VVS2 -2% and G / SI2 -4%

·         0.40-0.44 cts changes including G-H / VVS2-VS2 -2% and N / VS2+ -3-4%

·         2 cts changes of -2-4% in SI2 goods and higher, in all colors
