Namibia to Host Second International Diamond Conference
November 05, 15(IDEX Online News) – The International Diamond Conference 2015, focusing on the challenges facing diamond beneficiation in Southern Africa, will take place in Windhoek, Namibia from November 23-24.
The Minister of Mines and Energy Hon. Obeth Mbul Kandjoze (MP) will open the two-day conference, which is being co-ordinated by industry expert Chaim Even-Zohar and hosted by the Diamond Board of Namibia.
Speakers at the two-day event include: Hon. Walter K. Chidakwa, the minister of Mines and Mining Development of the Republic of Zimbabwe; Shihaleni E Ndjaba, CEO at Namibia Diamond Trading Company (Pty) Ltd; Burhan Seber, president of the Diamond Manufacturers Association of Namibia (DIAMAN) and Kombadayedu Kapwanga, president of the Chamber of Mines of Namibia.
