IDE President Shmuel Schnitzer Will Not Run in December Election

(IDEX Online News) – Current Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) president Shmuel Schnitzer has said that he will not be seeking re-election at the bourse’s elections, which are planned for December 16.

Schnitzer has held the position for the past two years and also served as bourse president for three consecutive terms from 1998-2005.

According to the financial periodical The Marker, the current difficulties facing the industry, including the spate of bankruptcies in Israel, contributed to Schnitzer’s decision.
