IDE to Host Diplomatic Corps during International Diamond Week in Israel
January 06, 16(IDEX Online News) – A group of ambassadors, consuls and economic attaches will visit the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) during the upcoming winter edition of The International Diamond Week in Israel.
The diplomats will tour the trading floor, visit the Harry Oppenheimer Diamond Museum, witness a diamond and jewelry auction by Tzoffey's 1818, and attend a concert in the nearby Diamond Theater.
"By inviting the diplomatic corps for this 'Ambassador Day,' we will have an opportunity to display the strength and versatility of the Israeli diamond business and thus create a much greater awareness of our industry and trade," said IDE general manager Moti Besser. "The diplomatic corps in Israel is often instrumental in helping Israeli companies gain access to their home markets.”
Israeli-French auction house Tzoffey's 1818 will be holding two auctions, one of special diamonds is aimed at the trade and the second, of jewelry, is for the public.
The International Diamond Week in Israel will take place from February 14-18.
