British Jewelry Designer to be Guest of Honor at IDWI
February 01, 16(IDEX Online News) – British jewelry designer Stephen Webster will be the guest of honor at the upcoming International Diamond Week in Israel (IDWI).
Webster, who has received an MBE award for his services to training and skills in the British jewelry industry, will take part in a diamond and marketing discussion panel on February 15.
“High quality diamonds are an inedible part of my own jewelry creations, as well as the jewelry of the house of Garrard. I expect to be seeing a lot of those quality diamonds on the exchange floor during my visit,” Webster said.
Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) president Yoram Dvash said that the appearance of a trend setting international jewelery designer fulfilled one of his goals, to create closer relationships between them and the Israel diamond industry.
“Israel, as the world's leading specialist in larger fancy shaped diamonds and fancy color diamonds has lots to offer to the top end of the jewelry design and manufacturing market,” said Dvash.
Webster recently published his first book, “Goldstruck: A Life Shaped By Jewellery,” and collaborated with artist Tracey Emin on a newly-released line of jewelry.
