Campbellian Wins 2016 AGTA Spectrum Buyer’s Choice Award

(IDEX Online News) – The 2016 AGTA Spectrum Awards winners were showcased at the recently concluded AGTA GemFair Tucson, where this year’s Buyer’s’ Choice Award winner was Campbellian from New York, whose founder is Bella Campbell.
Initial attendance numbers for the AGTA Gem Fair indicated that there was a significant increase in attending companies. According to exhibitors at the fair, retail jewelers and industry buyers were particularly interested in colored gemstones.
“The buzz about this show started a few months ago, and continued straight through to closing day. I honestly can’t remember a show where everyone I saw, from exhibitors to buyers, walked around with a smile on their face all day long,” said AGTA CEO Douglas K. Hucker.
The event’s seminars were a specific draw for visitors, and this year’s series saw a 30-percent increase in attendance. Visitor numbers were also up at the AGTA CAD Design Pavilion, where buyers could take their gemstones and have a wax mold made on the spot.
AGTA also launched their newest education publication, the Cultured Pearls Handbook, a guide for the end-consumer on different varieties of pearls, their history and how to take care of them.
