Stellar Exports More Than 3,000 Diamonds to Antwerp Ahead of Auction

(IDEX Online News) – Stellar Diamonds plc announced that it has exported a diamond parcel of 3,341 carats from its Baoulé kimberlite project in Guinea to Antwerp.
The Baoulé pipe is located in the Aredor area of Guinea, and the activities at the pipe form part of a trial mining evaluation to determine the grade and value of the deposit.
To date, the company has mined and processed more than 70 percent of its 100,000 tons of kimberlite objective. Stellar said that the yielded results have been in line with expectations and that it estimates that the resource at Baoulé may contain as much as 3 million carats.
The proposed sale will represent the third auction from Baoulé. The company has recovered 8,830 carats from the trial mining, with the previous two sales totaling 5,173 carats and generating revenues of more than $700,000.
