WJA to Recognize Outstanding Volunteers at Shining Star Awards
March 03, 16(IDEX Online News) – The Women’s Jewelry Association (WJA) has announced its Shining Star award winners, which annually recognizes a member from each chapter, who has given extraordinary service in the previous year.
The winners are: Martha Seely, jewelry designer and WJA Boston’s co-chair of the events committee, Rebecca Hinrichs Reynoso, a jewelry photographer from Chicago, chair of the WJA Colorado scholarship committee Jackie Brooks, Robert Loving from Dallas, Indian Diamond and Colored Stone member Sabrina Bindra from Los Angeles, JCK magazine market editor Jennifer Heebner from New York Metro, Sarah Thomas from Northern California, metal smith and jewelry designer Meg Carroll from Ohio/Kentucky, WJA Providence board secretary Maureen Murphy, WJA San Diego secretary and public relations chair Pheap Lorn-Canossi, Seattle WJA chapter founder Jessica Neiwert and Carol Brady from Twin Cities.
"Congratulations to WJA's dedicated volunteers, who give of their precious time to help women in the jewelry and watch industries advance and develop professionally through networking, education, and leadership development," said WJA President Brandee Dallow.
"These individuals embody WJA's mission and we look forward to honoring them."
Each of the winners will receive an expenses paid trip to New York City, where they will be honoured with a special In the Spotlight evening on March 10.
