North Arrow Completes Winter Drilling at Pikoo
April 05, 16(IDEX Online News) – North Arrow Minerals Inc. has announced that it has completed its winter exploration drilling program at the Pikoo Diamond Project in central eastern Saskatchewan. The company drilled a total of 2,124 meters, and encountered kimberlites in 14 of the 19 drill holes.
The highest concentration of kimberlites was in North Pikoo, with evidence of them in seven out of the nine drill holes. North Arrow said that between two and four discreet new kimberlites had been discovered in the area, and a series of samples from them have been submitted for microdiamond analyses.
Evidence of larger than expected kimberlites was also recorded in South and East Pikoo, following drilling in several holes in those areas too.
The exploration of Pikoo is a joint venture between North Arrow (80 percent) and Stornoway Diamond Corporation (20 percent). North Arrow has elected to solely fund the program and as a result its ownership interest will increase to approximately 85 percent, following Stornoway electing not to contribute its share to the 2016 exploration budget.
